What's on in our wild world

As creatives, we take inspiration from all over and we enjoy keeping our fingers on the pulse for everything in the world of arts, culture, food, music and travel. We like to share our wild world with those who have similar passions as us, or for those who just want to know a little more about our wild world.

Here in our journal space, we share some of the things we love, the experiences we remember and everything you need to feel inspired by our wild world. From reading about why Peonies are one of our favourite flowers, to hearing about a recent day out at a new local hotel, enjoy our stories here.

Our favourite Spring blooms

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

It's finally arrived. We feel like we've been counting down the days for too long since those January blues kicked right in.

Thought it may not feel like Spring has sprung with the miserable April shower weather, we certainly welcome the change of season in our flower shop.

Our 360 degree flower stand gives us the chance to show off our favourite blooms in all their beauty when their season is just right for them.

We always advise customers in our shop to stay seasonal. Whilst availability of flower can usually be guaranteed all year round; the quality and price of flowers out of season can be more unpredictable.

You'll always find daily or weekly specials in our shop which have been hand selected from our flower suppliers.

Here's just a few of our favourite blooms which will be making appearances in the coming month...

Hellebores Hellebores are a favourite Spring flower of ours with their whimsical and sweet appearance. Flowers are admired for their beauty in all shapes or sizes, but we love the depth and variety of colour that you get with Hellebores from the soft pastel shades to deep purple tones.

Tulips There's just something so pleasing about returning home with a bunch of fresh tulips. Nothing quite welcomes Spring into your home like it. A trip to Holland is best recommended during the month of April to see the Tulip fields at their best. If it's not on your list for this year, make sure you add it to your travel notes for next years planning.

Hyacinths With their sweet but strong fragrance, Hyacinths are a popular choice amongst Spring flowers. Usually found in vibrant colours they boast a bell shaped head and thick stem.
