What's on in our wild world

As creatives, we take inspiration from all over and we enjoy keeping our fingers on the pulse for everything in the world of arts, culture, food, music and travel. We like to share our wild world with those who have similar passions as us, or for those who just want to know a little more about our wild world.

Here in our journal space, we share some of the things we love, the experiences we remember and everything you need to feel inspired by our wild world. From reading about why Peonies are one of our favourite flowers, to hearing about a recent day out at a new local hotel, enjoy our stories here.

Why we love Emma Bridgewater

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

We are so excited to share that wild about flowers has now become an official stockist of Emma Bridgewater.

We have admired the brand for many years; all being customers of the famous pottery brand ourselves. Knowing first hand just how beautiful and unique the products are we are so exciting to be bringing hand selected pottery pieces to stock here at Number 33.

The brand was started back in 1985 when Emma struggled to find a unique gift for her Mother's birthday. It was at this moment which sparked an inner idea, a vision to 'make things that make everyday life a little bit nicer.'

"The conversation Emma had in her head with her mother back in 1984 goes on. Only, now, we hope, you're part of it, too."

All the pottery is made from cream-coloured earthenware in their factory in Stoke-On-Trent, the home of British pottery. At the factory most of the production work is still done by hand, and all of the pieces are individually hand-decorated, so every one is very slightly different - which we love!

Behind the brand, there is a belief that everyday kitchen china sits right at the heart of our lives, and that each cup, bowl, jug and plate holds our personal stories, reflecting shared moments, enriching us as we eat and drink together.

We are so passionate about supporting businesses that offer this personal touch, and are determined to create a shopping experience on the high street that offers this deep level of connection with customers and the purchases they make.

Each Emma Bridgewater design starts as a deeply felt personal response to what we love in the world around us. In our retail flower shop in Keynsham, Bristol you will find some of the firm favourites to collect including the classic polka dot and pink hearts range. New for 2019 is the striking Anemone range, and of course a suiting fit to our flower shop is the Emma Bridgewater floral mug range.

"At Emma Bridgewater, we like to make things that make everyday life a little bit nicer."
