What's on in our wild world

As creatives, we take inspiration from all over and we enjoy keeping our fingers on the pulse for everything in the world of arts, culture, food, music and travel. We like to share our wild world with those who have similar passions as us, or for those who just want to know a little more about our wild world.

Here in our journal space, we share some of the things we love, the experiences we remember and everything you need to feel inspired by our wild world. From reading about why Peonies are one of our favourite flowers, to hearing about a recent day out at a new local hotel, enjoy our stories here.

Pantone announce 2018's colour of the year

Updated: Aug 16, 2022

We always look forward to Pantone's revealing of their 'colour of the year'.

2017 saw 'Greenery' named as their colour of choice and we definitely noticed this trend came through in floristry. We saw foliage make a stylish return with many brides opting for a natural theme using fresh picked foliage and oversized trailing wild look bouquets.

For 2018 we've seen an exciting burst of colour in the new tone that will be setting waves across the design world.

Pantone describe the talked about colour as being 'a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.'

When it comes to floristry we are looking forward to seeing how this colour becomes a trend across the wedding world. Purple has always been a popular choice amongst our brides and offers a striking tone for that all important bridal bouquet.

During the summer months you'll be sure to find some of our favourite seasonal flower favourites showing off this popular colour on our flower stand and in our bouquets, plants and maybe even some stylish gifts!

If you're getting creative with Ultra Violet; we'd love to see your ideas!
